Many people like to begin the new year with a new project and samplers are a great way to explore new stitches. We have a special treat for you, courtesy of long-time EGA national teacher, Jane Balzuweit. Jane Ellen is a master of so many different techniques — she really is one who can “do it all.”
We will be doing a stitch sampler that will introduce you to a nice variety of stitches. Jane Ellen shows two potential formats: a traditional band sampler or a fall leaf. Note that the leaf outline is added at the end so it’s easier to fit around your completed stitches. Files have been uploaded for each format to the Facebook files section of this group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/486902244995324/files/). They will also be added to the EGA website in the “Free Projects” section soon. The basic layout and details for the first three bands are included for now. Come back next month for the final four bands!

Barbara P. will provide copies for those who request by email to her (email@example.com). They need to specify which meeting they are attending (day or night) and which version of the instructions they want (leaf or band sampler). No cost for the copy, but you must attend the meeting to get a printed copy of the instructions. Anyone not at the meeting can, of course, download the instructions from the EGA website.
